What We Fund

The Chur Family Foundation   provides financial support to nonprofit organizations making a meaningful difference in the lives of the most vulnerable members of our community.

We prioritize projects that align with one or more of the following focus areas:

Geriatric Workforce Development

  • Building a strong eldercare workforce through scholarships, educational programs, and hands-on training in geriatric health and social services

Supporting Older Adults

  • Enhancing daily living through access to healthcare and mental health services, assistance with medical and physical needs, transportation to medical appointments, and nutritional support

Breaking the Cycle of Poverty for Children

  • Expanding access to quality educational opportunities, academic enrichment, and reliable nutrition programs for children living in poverty

Promoting research and innovation to advance successful aging

  • We are driven to uplift elder care through innovation with purpose. By funding creative, purpose-driven solutions from new models of senior support to supporting research and /or training for the next generation, we aim to improve quality of life, advance the field of aging, and bring dignity-centered care into the future

Target Population

Our funding supports disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals of all ages, with particular emphasis on:

  • Older adults, especially those who face barriers to independence, healthcare, and basic needs
  • Children from low-income families, particularly those at risk of long-term poverty or food insecurity

Geographic Funding Area

We fund programs and initiatives serving Erie and Niagara Counties in Western New York. Preference is given to organizations with a strong local presence and a demonstrated commitment to the needs of these communities.
